- Company acquires pediatric dental practices who want a strategic partner to shoulder the administrative headaches of managing their own practice. They also build new practices from scratch

Work Remote
Work out of your home office. Travel to Sacramento is required during your ramp up period to build relationships with the marketing staff, executives, and dental teams/owners. If you are local to the Sacramento area and prefer to work in-person, you can have a permanent office at corporate headquarters

- You’ll be the marketing subject matter expert in a mission critical role that is directly tied to new patient growth
- Drive digital marketing efforts which represent the organization’s highest converting marketing channels and includes video/commercials, streaming services, social media, influencer marketing, PPC advertising, and more
- Digital marketing is supplemented with radio and in-person marketing channels
- Marketing is most crucial aspect of this role as the VP of Marketing’s efforts are directly tied to year over year growth of 10-20%. You’ll also be involved with brand management, corporate communications, and partnering with Human Resources to creatively infuse the organization’s mission and values into employee engagement tools and activities
- Company went through a highly successful rebrand 5 years ago that has appeal to a wider age range. You’ll take a lead role in managing the updated brand which is congruent with new service lines that have been added catering to teens
- Spearhead Corporate Communications with access to an outsourced firm as a resource to you for critical internal and external communications that could benefit from additional polish and shine
- Lead a small marketing team that is positioned to grow as the company expands into new markets
The Role You Will Play
Summary
The VP, Marketing will be a member of the executive team responsible for the development and execution of company-wide and localized integrated strategic marketing plans that generate top of funnel KPI’s, increase market awareness, and hit overall growth objectives through new patient acquisition. The VP, Marketing will ensure the company maintains its leadership position in delivering trusted dental care to kids of all ages in both current and new markets.
Essential Job Elements
- Responsible for departmental organizational structure and strategy development, implementation, and management of all elements of the marketing mix to drive new patient acquisition
- Meet or beat organizational KPI’s that directly support growth and retention
- Support marketing team in strategic execution through marketing tactics including social media, digital advertising, paid search, events, email, PR, copy writing and messaging, and all other tactical aspects
- Develop, coach and mentor marketing team to ensure best in class team that supports practice goals
- Define, analyze and report on strategic market research that includes competitive overviews of each market, SWOT analysis, and real-time competitor promotions
- Be a thought partner and work closely with the operations management to support patient retention, meet overall growth objectives, and provide out of the box solutions for key initiatives
- Increase positive experience through creative initiatives that provide the overall best experience possible for our families
- Oversee the overall brand, as well as smaller brands, to ensure alignment, messaging, voice, and visuals are in line with strategy
- Be the communication expert for the senior leadership team, advising on messaging, tone, and professionally written content both internally and externally
Background Profile
- Bachelor’s degree required – Master’s degree is nice to have
- Minimum of 7 years marketing experience. Expertise in digital marketing strategies is highly desirable
- You’re already head of marketing - Minimum 3 or more years managing and mentoring a team
- Experience with corporate communications is valuable though your efforts can be augmented with the assistance of a consulting firm for critical internal and external communications
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed organizational KPIs
- You have a passion for data – you know how to track marketing goals and show results
- You’re an out-the-box thinker with the ability to test new strategies, measure results, and make continuous improvements
