Central Islip, NY is in the geographic center of Long Island. There are a variety of housing options whether you want to live towards the West end (towards NY) or on the East End (towards the Atlantic) which gets progressive rural the farther East you go.

The Company
- Federally Qualified Health Center with an operating budget of $22M with 130 employees. Company provides care to 7K unique patients with 80K visits annually through 5 health center locations
- Founded in 2016, the clinics of three Long Island Human Services agencies formed Long Island Select Healthcare, Inc. (LISH) - 1) Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), 2) Family Residences and Essential Enterprises (FREE), and 3) United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Suffolk Inc. (UCP)
- Strategic investments were made into telehealth capabilities prior to the pandemic. As a result, the organization was well prepared for the changing healthcare landscape. Their telehealth capabilities remain on the cutting edge under the leadership of their Director of Virtual Care Services
- Operating as a Federally Qualified Health Center, LISH provides patient care to everyone in the community regardless of one’s ability to pay. A large portion of their patients include Intellectual/Developmentally Disabled (ID/D) individuals making them unique among other FQHCs
- Robust mix of service lines to treat the “whole person”. These services include Primary Care, Dental, Behavioral Health, Allergy, Audiology, Chronic Care Management, Dermatology, OB/GYN, Neurology, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Physiatry, Physical Therapy, Podiatry, Psychiatry, and Speech Therapy

Office Location: Long Island, Central Islip Clinic
The Chief Financial Officer will work out of the Long Island, Central Islip location – 1/3 of the space is dedicated to administration and 2/3 is clinical
Background Profile
- Understanding of Medicare cost reports is required. Experience working for a Federally Qualified Health Center is desirable
- Prior experience in a senior-level finance role within the healthcare environment. Understanding of revenue cycle functions, patient accounts, and working with various health plans
- Comfortable with the latest "cloud" technologies for financial management including developing reports for presentation to the BOD
- Experience working with operations teams to educate/collaborate around operation's impact on finance
- Ability to work out of the Central Islip location. There may be an opportunity to split time between in-office/remote as you develop relationships with the team and establish yourself in the organization
- Collaborative, "player-coach" mindset. Someone who is equally comfortable in the Board Room as they are on the front lines with the team
- Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent oral and written communication with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Mission-driven and passionate; excited about the unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the patients and the community
