The Grass Valley location, nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Foothills, is truly a “postcard” image. The area is bathed in a wondrous mix of cedar, pine, and an assortment of deciduous trees that burst forth a multitude of Fall colors as the cooler temperatures arrive. This circa 1800 Gold Rush era town offers a window into the past while providing the amenities of a small, revitalized downtown district.
The Auburn Clinic is 30 minutes North of downtown Sacramento and 30 minutes South of Grass Valley. The Sacramento region is known as the “Farm-to-Fork-Capital” with year-round farmer’s markets, plenty of nightlife, entertainment, outdoor recreation, and some of the more affordable living in California.

If you want to avoid the high season crowds, visit Lake Tahoe in the spring to hit the slopes in sunglasses and a t-shirt, or come in the fall when the mountains are painted in autumn colors and hiking is at its best. Regardless of when you visit, there’s plenty of Lake Tahoe activities.
If you have children who are approaching college-age, the Sacramento region boasts UC Davis which is highly ranked in the nation and the world, according to influential university ranking publications like U.S. News & World Report.
