Our recruiting firm, Centermark Placements, has been retained by CommuniCare Health Centers to lead the search for their next Chief Financial Officer.  CommuniCare is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 7 locations, multiple service lines, nearly 400 employees and an operating budget of approximately $32M.

Since 1972, CommuniCare has been providing comprehensive health care services to their community with a mission is rooted in the underlying philosophy that health care is a right, not a privilege.  Their dedicated team of providers and support staff provide services to 1 in 9 residents of Yolo County with 133,000 patient visits annually.

The Community

The CommuniCare administration office (the CFO/Finance Department location) is in Davis, CA (the most populous city in Yolo County).  The three largest CommuniCare clinics/service sites are located in Davis, Woodland, and West Sacramento.  Davis is located 11 miles west of Sacramento and 70 miles northeast of San Francisco.  

The Sacramento region offers some of the more affordable living in California.  Many employees live across the region – in the towns where CommuniCare sites are located as well as in Sacramento.  Yolo County towns of Davis, Woodland,  West Sacramento, and Winters provide many wonderful living options and affordable living.

The Sacramento region is known as the “Farm-to-Fork-Capital” and Davis is no exception.  The Davis Farmers Market is held year-round on Wednesdays and Saturdays in Central Park.  In addition to fresh fruits and vegetables sold by local farmers, attendees can find gourmet foods, live entertainment, specialty products, and arts and crafts; it’s a unique and wonderful shopping experience. 

The Davis community combines the right blend of safe neighborhoods, convenient retail and service establishments, and cultural amenities for a variety of tastes and plentiful recreational activities. There are 31 parks and 453 acres of improved developed landscape owned and maintained by the city. Davis boasts more than 100 miles of bike paths and trails and has more bicycles per capita than any other city in the nation.

Enjoy Wine Country

There are more than 200 wineries in the Sacramento Area! The diverse soil and terrain around Sacramento and the California Gold Country gives vintners a fertile ground to grow a wide array of wines.

 

Davis Bike Loop

Proudly known as the “Bicycle Capital of America”, Davis has more than 100 miles of bike baths and trails. The Davis Bike Loop is a 12-mile route around the perimeter of Davis and is a leisurely ride with a mix of bike paths and bicycle-friendly roads for its entirety.

Farmer’s Markets

The Sacramento region was named “America’s Farm-To-Fork Capital” with more than 50 Farmer’s Markets and 8,000 acres of boutique farms. Year-round at Central Park in downtown Davis, thousands gather each week to shop for what is grown, raised, and locally made.

UC Davis Arboretum

The 100-acre public garden is one of the community’s most spectacular assets.  And, it’s free!  This “living museum” spans about 100 acres and showcases some 4,000 kinds of trees, plants and shrubs and serves as a habitat for birds, reptiles, and other wildlife. 

Downtown Sacramento Nightlife

Davis is just 15 miles from downtown Sacramento.  Whether you want to enjoy fine dining, wine bars, or night clubs, there are many options available for a fun and interesting nightlife.

Putah Creek Fishing

There are numerous opportunities for anglers including catching trout at Putah Creek.  Putah Creek is located on 150 acres between the north side of Putah Creek and State Highway 128, seven miles west of the town of Winters.

Hiking Galore

Yolo County offers immense opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts including plenty of hiking such as the Blue Ridge Trail to Fiske Peak out of Cache Creek Regional Park.
